Fiona Helleur is the Head of Youth Arts for the Department of Education’s Youth and Community Service.
She has been a youth worker for the Isle of Man Government since 1995 and during that time has run the Manx National Youth Theatre, Basement Youth Club and Castletown SoundCheck.
She was employed full time as Head of Youth Arts in 2010 and is working hard to turn the former Douglas Youth Club in Kensington Road into a thriving Arts Centre. Her focus is to make visual and performing arts accessible for all and to make the YAC the centre for arts for young people and the community. She is always looking for new ideas and art forms to introduce to the members of the YAC and welcomes any suggestions on how to improve the YAC.
